Deseret News- Erika Hansen

It looks like this is just a topic about what is popular right now. They talked about that British lady who sang "I dreamed a dream" (which was cool I thought) and they talked about Gas.....and OUR ERIKA!! Again....to tell you that I'm so proud of her wouldn't do it justice! This woman is amazing! Whether or not she wins, the fact that she has turned her experience into triumph and have inspired others to instead of looking at it as a Taboo subject that needs to be hidden, she has taught them to celebrate and be proud of being a survivor. That alone in itself is worth it, regardless of the outcome in June...so proud of you Erika. I hope one day you are able to see even just a GLIMPSE of the lives you changed for the better.

Special Thanks!

Just wanted to take a minute and let my directors know how thankful I am for all of their help and support. I couldn't be doing this without them! Also, a special thanks to all of the public who have opened their hearts to my story and have been more than supportive. The reactions and the comments I have received have been more than uplifting and I am extremely grateful! Thank you again!

Erika on Deseret News...FRONT PAGE!

Erika is getting amazing attention from her platform. Thank you Becki for helping her find a venue to share her voice. The comments are almost just as impressive. Usually when theres a "Beauty Pageant" being thrust into the media, you get a lot of people who just want to talk about how discriminating they are and awful for women, yadda yadda yadda. To say that I'm proud of Erika wouldn't begin to describe how I feel and what I think about her. You're doing and INCREDIBLE job Erika, keep it up! Click here to read it.
