CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE!!!

Hi Ladies!  I made a couple of changes to our schedule.  The opening meeting will NOT be the 22nd.  We will be meeting on Tuesday August 20th at 7:00 pm at the Hampton Inn.  And the next meeting will be WEDNESDAY August 28th at 6:00 pm. The rest of the dates will remain the same :) Hope to see you there!!

Welcome!

Hello everyone!  First, I just want to express my excitement for the pageant this year!  This is such a wonderful opportunity for young women to grow, serve their community, and showcase their talents - and let's not forget the scholarship money... Who doesn't love that? ;)  Also, I want to apologize for getting the information up so late - I know I told a few of you I'd have it up at the first of July.... Whoops....Well, better late than never I guess :)  So here is an outline of what is to come in the next couple of months.  These dates may be subject to change, but we will let you know in plenty of time if they do.  Because we are not meeting for another month, I would encourage all of you to begin preparation now.  You can do that by practicing for your talent (Talent can be NO LONGER than 90 seconds) and coming up with a platform (and becoming actively involved with it) if you haven't already.  Please feel free to contact me via email with any questions, or if you are needing help finding/formulating a platform, and anything else you need to help prepare. August 20th - Opening Meeting 6pm at the Hampton Inn


August 28th - Interview Workshop 6pm at the Hampton Inn
We will be doing the Contestant Lottery (you will be assigned a contestant number).  If you are unable to make this workshop you’ll be assigned a number at random.


August 31st - Iron County Fair Parade for contestants - We will discuss this during the opening meeting and see if everyone is interested in doing it :)


September 5th - Modeling Workshop 6pm location TBA


September 12th - All paperwork due AND opening number rehearsal Location TBA


September 19th - Opening number rehearsal Location TBA


September 26th -  Opening number rehearsal Location TBA


October 3rd - Finalizing all costumes, swimwear, evening wear etc and opening number rehearsal


October 9th - Production Number/ Modeling Blocking- 6:00 pm Canyon View High School (166 W 1925 N).  Please bring the heels you intend to wear the night of the competition.



October 10th - Talent Rehearsal- 6:00 pm Canyon View High School       


October 11th -  Full Dress Rehearsal (Run Through)- 6:00 pm Canyon View High School 


October 12th -   Miss Iron County Pageant

REHEARSAL WED AUG 8

Rehearsal will be held at Canyon View High School this Wednesday at 6pm.  Enter through the South East entrance and be prepared to stay as long as necessary to get staging/spacing/choreography down!

Please bring the following items for approval (and anything else you would like input on):
  • Swimsuit
  • Production number accessories: bracelet, shoes

PRODUCTION NUMBER REHEARSAL LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED

Meet in front of Cedar High (the new entrance) this Wednesday (Aug 1) at 6:00pm. We will be practicing in the dance lab.  THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE TO LEARN THE CHOREOGRAPHY!!!  Next week will be strictly a "spacing" rehearsal--no review of choreography.  So PLEASE come tomorrow so you can really get the moves down!

Pioneer Day Parade

We (the contestants) have been invited to participate in the Pioneer Day (24th of July) Parade.

Date:  Tuesday, July 24th
Time:  9:30 a.m.
Where to meet: 400 South 100 East
What to wear: White shirt and jean shorts (knee length) or capris

It's gonna be fun!  We should all be able to fit in the jeep so hopefully no one has to walk:)
